Unfortunately, yes. Morally Bankrupt Game Studios is a real company-shaped game studio operation with the vague aim of making games, and the very specific aim of making obscene amounts of money whilst doing so.

All other claims on the website are definitely either real, or aren't. We leave it to the reader to determine which is which, and ask that you let us know if you figure it out - we're curious too.

When we have a game that is working well enough to warrant announcement, and/or we need to generate more attention. Whichever comes first (probably the latter).

Clearly you shouldn't. But if you're going to fund games industry greed, at least fund the people who actually need it. Some of those established guys have yachts! We don't even have a dinghy yet, and we can't reach our office without a boat. If you want to help us get to work, please consider giving us money.

Join the mailing list. It costs nothing, gives us better engagement numbers to show off, and lets us alert you when something interesting, alarming, or commercially useful happens.

Definitely someone. To the best of our knowledge, this website did not spontaneously create itself, so we must at least acknowledge that the person who is writing this sentence exists. Sometimes that person tells us that they see other people moving around the building they are in, but it's unconfirmed whether these people also work there, live there, or are just visiting. Our investigations are ongoing.

What does it mean for someone to be "real"? As a concept, yes - Ron Eckhart is very real, and in a figurative sense is in charge of this company. There is also definitely at least one real human being with the name Ron Eckhart.

I don't think we can be any clearer than that without getting into the murky waters of metaphysics, which seems a little beyond the scope of our FAQ page.

For many decades, companies have launched with grandiose claims of their plans to save the world, only to sell out once real money was on the table.

It's become as predictable as clockwork, and we wondered if the effect might work in reverse. Perhaps by starting out as morally bankrupt, we will become world-saving superheroes once we actually start getting money?

We figured that either way, it's a win for us. We either get to be openly greedy and make tonnes of money, or we get to be openly greedy and make tonnes of money and then save the world. It's a wonder no one's tried it before.
